十二月八日，星期四 晴，暖和

今天我跟朋友去海洋公园。我们骑过山车和完游戏。 以后过山车和游戏，我们去吃午饭。今天我觉得很好。我最爱过山车是龙， 因为我们去到挂和很快。我爱过山车是很快， 因为这个是很可怕。我不喜欢不可怕，因为很沉闷。我不喜欢摩天轮，因为很慢和很沉闷。以后我们去朋友的家和吃晚餐。很好吃。以后我们去游泳和去家 。 去朋友家过夜。

Computer systems

Over the past couple of lessons in ICT, we learnt about the different parts of the computer and what all of them do. I learnt about the 6 main components that a com

puter needs to work: Motherboard, Hard drive (HDD), Central processing unit (CPU), Power supply, Case and Ram. Each of these components do different things, but all work together to get the computer working.
Motherboard
The motherboard lets all parts of the computer to have power and be able to communicate with each other.
Hard drive
The hard drive keeps all data and applications. It doesn't go that fast, but that's why we have rams.
Ram
A ram has very short term memory, but it is much faster that the hard drive. The hard drive sends information to the ram which sends it to the central processing unit, once all the information is sent to the central processing unit the application starts running.
Central processing unit
The central processing unit processes information. When the power button on a Apple computer is turned on the hard drive automatically sends Mac OS to the ram then eventually sends it to the central processing unit and starts up the whole computer. Nearly everything has to go to the central processing unit to start running.
Case
The case covers everything inside it (motherboard, ram, power supply..etc.). A computer can still work without a case, but probably won't last as long as a computer with a case, and it makes the computer look better and easier to move around.
Power supply
The power supply does what the name says, it supplies power to the motherboard. Without the power supply it will be much harder to turn a computer on.

I think this unit of ICT was fun and informative. We were able to move around and do things then just sit down and write down things.

Representation In Media.

In ICT class we learnt about the different representations in media. I learnt about the different genders. It is known that males are more physical than females. Females are more calm and clean. Males are more tough and dirty. When people represent women, they normally look at the size, beauty, relationships... etc. But when people are representing men, they normally look at power, sexual attractiveness, strength... etc. Males don't need to rely on other people. Females work in teams. It is known that males and females are completely opposite to each other. Men are strong, females are weak.  I learnt that you need to know whom produced the work to tell if the copy you are reading is truth or a lie.

Holiday From Hell

In english we were asked to make up a holiday that was terrible or base it on a real one. I loved doing this! In the end we went into groups and we had to make a commercial and a brochure persuading people to go to this holiday.

The Silk Road

For english we were asked to right a story about 'The Silk Road'. We did this quite a while ago, but it was fun creating the story.

Ancient Greece

In humanities we are learning about Ancient Greece. In this document we were looking at the different God and Goddesses. After this we will be creating our own God.

A Twisted Tale

For this work we were asked to create a story with a twist. We did this a while ago, but I had fun doing it.

English Spy File

This is the work we have been doing in english. I am a spy going on different missions. It is not complete, but we are working on it in class.
